I have had a succession of cameras since my mid-teens. Throughout my adult life I have been privileged to to travel widely, with my husband, to many unusual and fascinating places on all seven continents, always with a camera in hand, photographing anything that catches my eye and imagination.
Digital photography in the1990’s introduced significant new photographic opportunities and I took various courses and got specialist help from professional photographers to take advantage of these. The enforced confinements due to Covid gave me an opportunity to rethink my photography and move from ‘taking’ pictures to ‘making’ pictures. I learned about Intentional Camera Movement (ICM), Multiple Exposures (ME), compositing, and Abstract Expressionism. Discovering ICM was a real pleasure and I am now working on exploring new ways of representing my world both figuratively and creatively.
